If that sounds a heady concept, imagine how easy it could be for a user to provide details of a PC's configuration to a website just by clicking a button on a web page. Then imagine, as a website operator, all of the business processes that such a capability revolutionises: E-tailers can know, at the time of the sale, the spec of the PC for which they are supplying components. Technical support can be conducted without the traditional 'guess the spec' type conversations with non-technical users.
