No personally identifiable information is detected with either of the 2 services; we do not detect usernames, read data files or detect any information that can identify you personally. The ComponentMatching service is targeted at e-tailers of computer products and we go even further with this service in that we do not detect serial numbers, asset tag numbers or anything that can uniquely identify the PC. The PrecisionSupport service is targeted at technical support providers and we recognise that for product personalisation and warranty services component serial numbers are important and this service does detect these. Please note that we do not install any application on your PC. You will see a standard VeriSign download box that is used to authenticate the source of the download. This contains standard VeriSign wording that asks if you "want to install and run" the work4sure generic client. work4sure has no control over this wording but rest assured that no application is installed.
